Stobo
Stobo is a small hamlet, 5 miles west of Peebles. Home to the well-known Stobo Castle, now a luxury hotel and spa situated in the picturesque hills of the Tweed Valley
Traquair House
Traquair House is the oldest continuously inhabited house in Scotland. It has stood here since at least 1107 and became a Stuart family possession in 1491.
Cardrona
Cardrona is a small village between Peebles and Innerleithen. Famed for its scenic views, golf and woodland walking trails. The remains of Cardrona Fort sit on Castle Knowe.
Gray Mare’s Tail
Grey Mare’s Tail is a waterfall in Grey Mares Tail Nature Reserve, about 26 miles South West of Peebles. The reserve is located between Moffat and Dryhope.
Saint Mary’s Loch
St Mary's Loch lies south of Peebles between Moffat and Selkirk. The loch is the largest natural loch in Southern Scotland and was originally much bigger with the Loch of the Lowes once an integral part.
Kailzie Gardens
Kailzie Gardens is a walled garden near Kirkburn in the Scottish Borders area of Scotland, in the Tweed valley, four km east of Peebles, off the B7062. The garden dates from 1812.
The Roman Fort At Lyne
The area around Peebles is steeped in history, and about 4.8 miles west along the A72 you will find what’s left of the Roman Fort near Lyne.
The Yarrow Stone
This highly unusual stone commemorates two princes of the ancient British Kingdom of Strathclyde, a successor state of the Roman Empire, and an early medieval kingdom of the Britons!
